The epitome of luxury best seen at night!

The villa stands out thanks to its modern architecture with the huge, double-glazed windows giving the space an expansive feel. Entering the villa, you cannot help but notice the rain curtain water feature of the 10m lap pool, the artefact of a light fixture in the open-plan dining area and the perfectly lit Onyx wall by the barbecue/open air lounge next to the pool. Attention to detail goes to another level here when the best Finnish lighting architect was commissioned for the lighting of the house and Bonsai trees were imported directly from Badung.

This masterpiece of a villa cannot but be described in detail. The 10metre lap pool has a shallow kid friendly end and a rain curtain water feature and lies next to the barbecue/open air lounge area with its Onyx wall that perfectly lights up the space. Wait until night to see the rain curtain light up in different colours. We should not forget to mention the JBL party box 1000 portable speaker!

As you step in the villa, the 10-seater dining area with its impressive light fixture next to the dry kitchen that screams perfection, will have you at hello. Next to it lies a step-down living room with a glass window on the same level as the pool, which gives the sensation you are floating on water. One cannot help but marvel at the two perfectly lit portraits of monks from renowned photographer and artist, Ben Kustow. The villa also features two fully equipped kitchens – one dry with a marble bench used for special occasions and one wet for everyday use.

Walking up to the 3rd floor, you are greeted by some immense windows with the best view followed by huge white corridors with paintings by renowned artist, Neil Adams. Reach the 3rd floor and you will find an open-air lounge area with a jaw dropping view. Stand up and you can see the ocean. Drinks are served from the bar next door and placed at the Onyx table. We cannot help but mention the juice bar following the Onyx theme of the house with yet another impressive portrait by famous photographer Ben Kustow.

The villa boasts a yoga Shala with a wooden floor that can fit up to 10 people. You can also release any stress from the day in the steam room, indulge in a rejuvenating massage on the massage bed and sit back in the AI massage chair while watching your favourite movie on yet another ultra-high-definition smart TV with Netflix.

And of course, there is also an entertainment room with a 70-inch, ultra-high-definition smart TV with Netflix for some much-needed movie marathons that can be found on the ground floor. The 4th floor of the villa boasts the best view. This is the place to go if you want some peace and quiet. Sit back on the rattan swing chair or bean bag and elevate your Shisha experience by placing real fruits inside.

The master bedroom is the epitome of luxury: a super, king-size bed, a 65-inch, ultra-high-definition smart TV with Netflix, a home cinema with JBL portable wireless speakers and your very own bar where you can prepare your morning coffee and have a sip on your private balcony facing the pool and garden. Take some sparkling wine and head over to the en-suite, ultra-luxury marble bathroom. Fill in the jacuzzi, put on your favourite Netflix movie (yes another smart TV here) and you are all set.

And wait until you see the walk-in closet that is a room on its own. We are talking pure Hollywood style with a closet island, additional shelves, drawers for jewelry, watches and small items, sofa benches on both sides, dedicated shoe cabinets, elegant lighting and 2 full length mirrors by the sofa benches.

The villa has 5 bedrooms suites in total. Apart from the master bedroom suite, there are 2 other bedrooms on the 2nd floor and two guest bedroom suites next to the garden and pool area. There are 4 super, king size double beds in 4 bedroom suites and 1 bedroom suite with 2 semi double beds. All bedroom suites feature ultra-high-definition, smart Samsung TVs with Netflix, ACs, safety deposit boxes, walk-in closets, private lounge areas with sofa beds, ample desk spaces and of course en-suite luxury marble bathrooms with 2 sinks, a bathtub and closed shower cabinets.

The neighbourhood:

Start your day with the best coffee in town at Hungry Bird and head straight off to Berawa beach to enjoy some well-deserved vitamin sea. Berawa beach and Café Del Mar Beach Club are on your doorstep – literally 50 metres away.

Other breakfast options include Satu Satu – do order the eggs Benedict, it won’t hurt your pocket – Cinta café, 7Islands. and Ruko café. All these places have a lot of Western dishes, fresh fruit and Indonesian options for breakfast. 7Islands is more of a gourmet bakery/coffee place but still has decent breakfast options.

Once your stomach starts rumbling, try Milu by Nook with its Western/Indo fusion cuisine. If you like raw fish, do order the spicy tuna poke bowl and enjoy the view of the ricefields. For our vegetarian and vegan friends, Peloton Supershop is definitely worth a visit. Top selections include the creamy cheesy lasagne with cashew cheese or the ‘Power House Salad’ if you are up for something healthier.

Dinner options in Berawa are endless, depends on what you are craving. For pizzas to die for, try Milk and Madu and La Baracca. Nude with its friendly smile and half raw food does great poke bowls, cocktails and smoothies. For top notch sushi go to Sushimi or the more expensive Indigo..

If you can summon the strength and it doesn’t break your heart to step out of Berawa, Batubolong (no worries you are still in Canggu) has some great food as well. Do try the real Javanese food at Casa Tua Canggu and you will be enchanted not only by its food but also by its setting which takes you to the heart of Java. Penny Lane says it all with its jaw dropping surroundings and delish tapas and cocktails. And of course, do pay a visit to the vegetarian Shady Shack with its salads that are to die for.

For families, do not miss out on Finns Beach Club – this place truly has it all, from a water park (Splash), to a bowling centre to an outside restaurant and a kids’ club. We also strongly recommend the huge playground at Made’s Warung which is open from breakfast to dinner. Not to forget, Tamora Gallery with its trendy playground and mini skate ramp is also a shopping and foodie paradise for adults.

Getting around:

You can make use of the 7seater Mitsubishi Pajero Sport with driver available 8 hours per day Monday to Saturday that is included in the price. Alternatively, the staff can help rent a motorbike. Price ranges from 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.

Wow, this was the best vacation! Had a wonderful time in this impressive villa. Couldn’t have asked for more. We enjoyed drinks and sunset on the terrace with beach view, loved swimming in the huge pool and we even tried out a yoga class in the yoga room! All rooms are spacious but the master bedroom is another level – do choose it if you can. Loved preparing my morning coffee in bed and then going to the jacuzzi where I could watch Netflix. Hope to be back again one day!

This villa was stunning, with such impressive interiors and exteriors. Really impressed by the facilities; the large pool and even a steam room! We had an amazing stay here and had everything we needed. Will definitely be back in the future!

The décor in this villa was spectacular. As it’s name suggests, it is bright and full of light and so spacious. It really was a luxurious stay. Beautiful, big pool and all the facilities we could have asked for. Great to have a space to do yoga in and then a steam room to relax in after. This place was the best!

  • Seminyak

    thumb

Seminyak is the queen of our hearts. A chic tropical version of Paris.

You have not been to Seminyak if you have not strolled around its boutiques, gone to Petitenget for a coffee, had a real Balinese dinner at Made’s Warung, watched the sunset from Potato Head and ended up at a night club for one too many drinks.

  • Canggu

    thumb

Canggu takes a more laid back approach to life. Hipster is the word here.

Take your morning latte with coconut milk at one of the many organic cafes and go for a late lunch at Betelnut (one of the first restaurants to open here). If you don’t have a sunset photo by Batu Bolong beach and did not end up for a late beer at Old Man’s, you have not really been to Canggu.
