A beachfront oasis with a 20m pool, kids’ pool, jacuzzi, yoga spa and tennis court will get you spoilt to the max while vacationing in the island of Gods!

Hello ocean views! This is the best fit of a villa for those that want to escape the noise of Canggu and yearn for some peace and quiet next to the ocean, while still being close – 10-15 minutes away by bike – to the hustle and bustle of Batu Bolong and Echo beach. With plenty of activities, from a tennis court, to a floating yoga shala or massage parlour to a 100sq.m. open concept living room with sea view featuring comfy sofa spaces, to a 20m private pool, jacuzzi and kids’ pool, one thing is certain: you will definitely NOT run out of things to do at this villa!

Loyal to its name, Sound of the Sea villa is exactly that: a villa so close to the sea that you can literally hear the waves crashing on the sand. The villa’s 20m pool, the kids’ pool and jacuzzi (with unheated water) overlook Pereranan beach, which is just steps away from the villa.

Do select the master bedroom upstairs with its wooden bathtub on the balcony overlooking the beach. Fill the bathtub with bubbles, grab the best wine in the house and spend the sunset in the bathtub with the best ocean view! Do not let anybody bother you until it is time for a candle lit dinner on the grass area mere metres away from the ocean. And at night, the ocean breeze and the comfy beds will guarantee the best night’s sleep so you can press enter and repeat all over again the next day.

If your adrenaline starts pumping, challenge your friends to a tennis match at the tennis court that is shared with three other villas. For yoga or massages, walk through a cobblestone entrance to reach the floating yoga shala that is surrounded by a serene pond. Alternatively, this is the perfect spot for some morning or afternoon much needed massages. For the surfers, the beach just metres away is a world class spot for surfing.

In terms of bedding arrangement, there are six ample bedroom suites all with king size beds. The master bedroom also includes a separate kids’ room with a toddler’s bed. Two of the bedroom suites have stunning beach views. All of them are super spacious with en-luxury bathrooms with bathtub, shower and 2 sinks (only one bathroom does not have bathtub). The master bedroom features a smart flat screen TV with YouTube.

The neighbourhood:

The villa is located at the beach of Pantai Lima which is next to the Pererenan area in Canggu.

Best cafes near the villa at Pererenan:

  • Monsieur Spoon: French croissanterie with coffee and fresh daily made croissants. Coconut croissant is to die for.
  • Baked: Opt for a heavenly brunch with a lot of baked sourdough options with eggs and more. Coffee is great there too and so is the home baked bread. Not to forget the crusty croissants.
  • Brunch club: Another hot alternative for brunch. Do try the “porncakes” – super fluffy pancakes with lots of eggs and cream. They come in many options both salty e.g. with bacon and sweet e.g. whipped butter, maple syrup. (here I put it in inverted commas to make it clear it’s not a typo and that actually is the name (I googled it myself in shock!)
  • Front café: Makes up for its miniature size with a hearty menu. Think full flavoured coffees, yummy smoothies, big brekkie burgers, smashed avo with beetroot hummus just to name a few.
  • Rize Café: Indian flavours, hearty bowls, vegan healthy options full of fresh ingredients and a lot of goodness. Do try the vegan bowl loaded with scrambled akuri tofu, masala beans, and a grilled veg and herb salad.

Best restaurants near the villa at Pererenan:

  • Pescado: Renowned as the best fish eatery in the whole of Canggu. Simple décor and relaxed vibes combined with fresh fish dishes.
  • Bottega Italiana: Amazing pizza and wine – that is all you need for the night.
  • Touché: stylish café just a few metres from Pererenan beach. The place offers breakfast and lunch. And this is the best place to sip on coconut milk lattes over a plate of truffle gnocchi and a crisp tuna tataki salad.
  • Warung El Passo: Ricefield view combined with delicious Asian-Western fusion cuisine and family friendly vibes. It is definitely the best pit stop for anyone and everyone.

Getting around:

We can provide a 14seater Hiace mini bus with driver for $85 USD = 1.200.000 IDR for 8 hours or $55 US = 800.000 IDR for 5 hours. Alternatively, the staff can help rent a motorbike. Prices range from $5.5 USD = 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to $18 US = 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.

We chose this place for its great location for surfing but I think it is good for everyone, you have clear views of the beach, the rooms are clean and nicely kept, and if you like to keep active you have also a tennis court, some yoga, some massages, a big pool and you can take some bikes to explore. I recommend this place.

I’ve been to Bali quite a few times and this place is definitely up there with my favourites. The setting is great, right by the beach and everything is landscaped with these idyllic views. I’m a big yoga nut so for me the floating yoga shala was perfection but honestly everything was really nice. Thank you!!

Perfect location for chilling right by the beach. Having dinner looking out at the sea was exactly what we needed. It’s a little further to get to the main bars/restaurants, but you can rent a bike, and it’s well worth it to wake up to these views every day.

  • Seminyak

    thumb

Seminyak is the queen of our hearts. A chic tropical version of Paris.

You have not been to Seminyak if you have not strolled around its boutiques, gone to Petitenget for a coffee, had a real Balinese dinner at Made’s Warung, watched the sunset from Potato Head and ended up at a night club for one too many drinks.

  • Canggu

    thumb

Canggu takes a more laid back approach to life. Hipster is the word here.

Take your morning latte with coconut milk at one of the many organic cafes and go for a late lunch at Betelnut (one of the first restaurants to open here). If you don’t have a sunset photo by Batu Bolong beach and did not end up for a late beer at Old Man’s, you have not really been to Canggu.
