It does not get better than this: 4 private pools, a home cinema, rice field views, roof top terraces and massage beds!

You probably already know, but this is a 12bed villa complex that can fit up to 32 people, what you definitely don’t know is that you will get 4 private pools – one of which is a 17m one with rice field views. What you also don’t know is that there is a home cinema room with a piano, a massage set up with 2 massage beds overlooking the rice paddies in the 4bed villa – named Imperial House – and 2 other massage beds in each of the two 3bed villas. Another thing you most likely don’t know is that the Imperial House also has a roof top terrace and so does the 2bed villa. And of course, there is a lush, exotic garden reserved for the elite occupants of the villa complex.

This 12bed listing includes a 4bed villa – the Imperial House – two identical 3bed villas (one with an enclosed living area and one with a living room that’s open air) – and one 2bed villa. All villas are within the same complex, with the Imperial House 20m away from the rest of the villas, while the other villas are next to each other. Each villa is distinct, but equally lovable.

The Imperial House says it all with a flourish. Spread over almost one hectare of land, it has a 17m private pool with rice field views and an open-air living area with a living room, dining area and ultra-modern kitchen overlooking the pool. Next to it lies a massage set up with 2 massage beds. Downstairs you will find the two master bedroom suites with super king size (200x200cm) beds, a private lounge space, walk in closets and very unique bathrooms with open-air bathtubs. Upstairs is a roof top terrace overlooking the private pool and rice paddies, giving access to the home cinema and the other 2bedroom suites (one with twin beds and one with a king size bed) with en-suite luxury bathrooms.

The two 3bed villas lie next to each other and are identical. Their only difference is that one has an open-air living area, while the other one has a closed one. The living area features a living room with a smart, flat screen TV with Netflix, a dining area and modern kitchen with a Nespresso machine, and it wraps around the private pool. There is a massage bed in each villa for in-house massages and 3-bedroom suites (one downstairs and two upstairs). All bedroom suites include AC, a private en-suite bathroom with a shower and hot water and a separate dressing area. The downstairs bedroom has a super king size bed configuration and gives direct access to the pool. The master bedroom suite upstairs also features a super, king size bed, and is larger in size with an en-suite bathroom that has a bathtub. Next to it lies the 3rd suite that has a twin bed configuration.

The 2bed villa is very similar in style to the 3bed villas in that it has a living room, dining area and kitchen next to its private pool. It also holds a very sweet surprise for its master bedroom guests upstairs. There is a private, exotic roof top terrace reserved only for them, perfect for some sunset cocktails. To keep things balanced, the bedroom suite downstairs also with king size bed configuration is equally spacious and its bedroom glass doors open up to the villa’s private pool. Last but not least, there is a lush, exotic garden that is only shared by the guests of the complex.

The neighbourhood:

Berawa beach is on your doorstep – literally a 2minute bike ride. Rent an umbrella, order a coconut and suntan on the beach all day. If you are looking for a bit of glamour, Finns Beach Club, just 3 metres from the beach, is your answer. Start your day with a coffee by the pool and end it with one too many mojitos at the buzzing swim-up bar. Do not forget to visit Atlas Beach Fest, which opened its doors in the summer of 2022. It prides itself as the biggest beach club in the world and the biggest nightclub in Bali.

For breakfast or brunch Ruko café – also walking distance from the villa – is a must-try. Hungry Bird is said to have the best latte in town and brunches that won’t hurt your pocket. Other breakfast options include Satu Satu – do order the Eggs Benedict – Cinta café and 7Islands. All these places have a lot of Western dishes, fresh fruit and Indonesian options for breakfast. Coffee ‘n Oven is more of a gourmet bakery/coffee place but still has decent breakfast options.

Once your stomach starts rumbling, try Milu by Nook with its Western/Indo fusion cuisine. If you like raw fish, do order the spicy tuna poke bowl and enjoy the view of the ricefields. For our vegetarian and vegan friends, Peloton Supershop is definitely worth a visit. Top selections include the Creamy Cheesy Lasagne with cashew cheeseor the ‘Power House Salad’ if you are up for something healthier. Warung Heboh offers a cheap and tasty Indonesian style buffet, perfect for a value for money lunch.

Dinner options in Berawa are endless, it just depends on what you are craving. For pizzas to die for, try Milk and Madu and La Baracca. Nude with its friendly smile and half raw food does great poke bowls, cocktails and smoothies. For top notch sushi go to the new Sushimi or the more expensive Indigo.

If you can summon the strength and it doesn’t break your heart to step out of Berawa, Batubolong (no worries you are still in Canggu) has some great food as well. Do try the real Javanese food at Casa Tua Canggu and you will be enchanted not only by its food but also by its setting which takes you to the heart of Java. Penny Lane says it all with its jaw dropping surroundings and delish tapas and cocktails. And of course do pay a visit to the vegetarian Shady Shack with its salads to die for.

For families, do not miss out on Finns Recreation Club – this place truly has it all, from a water park (Splash), to a bowling centre to an outside restaurant and a kids’ club. We also strongly recommend the huge playground at Made’s Warung which is open from breakfast to dinner. Not to forget, Tamora Gallery with its trendy playground and mini skate ramp is also a shopping and foodie paradise for adults.

Getting around:

We can provide a 14seater Hiace mini bus with driver for $85 USD = 1.200.000 IDR for 8 hours or $55 US = 800.000 IDR for 5 hours. Alternatively, the staff can help rent a motorbike. Prices range from $5.5 USD = 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to $18 US = 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.

We chose this place for a big family birthday celebration and it was perfect. Luxury amenities, and for such a big celebration, it was great to have all the spacious seating/living areas, the big kitchen and of course all the four private pools. Highly recommend this place!

This complex was amazing! Really beautiful and luxurious. Ultra-spacious to relax, eat and drink in. Good to have the comfy home cinema to watch a movie in the evening. We also enjoyed the massages on the massage beds of the 4bed villa overlooking the rice paddies. Perfect way to relax after a day out.

A group of 20 of us stayed here and the place couldn’t have been better! We had plenty of space to relax, especially with the big pool (one of the 4 private pools) and many outdoor and indoor living areas. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Berawa is a bit of a busy area, but good for shopping, cafes, bars, restaurants and the beach.

  • Seminyak

    thumb

Seminyak is the queen of our hearts. A chic tropical version of Paris.

You have not been to Seminyak if you have not strolled around its boutiques, gone to Petitenget for a coffee, had a real Balinese dinner at Made’s Warung, watched the sunset from Potato Head and ended up at a night club for one too many drinks.

  • Canggu

    thumb

Canggu takes a more laid back approach to life. Hipster is the word here.

Take your morning latte with coconut milk at one of the many organic cafes and go for a late lunch at Betelnut (one of the first restaurants to open here). If you don’t have a sunset photo by Batu Bolong beach and did not end up for a late beer at Old Man’s, you have not really been to Canggu.
