Neighbourhood & Getting around
The neighbourhood:
Cemagi beach area with its many local beach warungs comes alive at sunset. Grab a coconut or Bintang (local beer) and enjoy the ocean view crowned by the setting sun. And if you feel like paying a visit to the trendy restos and famous nightlife of Canggu, they are only 5 minutes away by car or bike. Commuting from Cemagi to Canggu is usually less busy compared to other parts of Bali.

- Tanah Lot Temple: Visiting the Tanah Lot Temple in Bali is often considered one of the “˜must dos’ when visiting the island. It’s certainly one of the most unique Hindu temples anywhere in the world, and sits on a rocky outcrop just off the shore accessible only at low tide. The Tanah Lot temple complex is also one of our favourite sunset spots in Bali, although certainly not one for tranquillity as a lot of other visitors in Bali have the same idea!
- Surfing: Bali is the mecca of surfing after all. If you want to catch your first green wave and experience that feeling, let us know and we can arrange a lesson with our partners Surf Is Up Bali. Surf lessons take place at Batu Bolong and Old Man’s Beach, which are 15 minutes by car away from the villa. (The nearby Echo and Pererenan beaches cater more to intermediate / experienced surfers.)
- Bike rides through the ricefields: Cemagi area is perfect for idyllic bike or motorbike rides through the picturesque rice fields of Bali.
- Cemagi village: If you want to learn more about the real Bali away from the tourists, then pay a visit to Cemagi village. The Hindu influence in this village is strongly present in both the daily activities and housing. It is also very likely that you will be able to watch a local Hindu ceremony as they do happen very often throughout the year.
- Explore the nearby black sand beaches from Cemagi all the way to Nyanyi, Kedungu, Yeh Gangga and Pasut beaches. We recommend a bike ride through ricefields before spending some time at Pasut beach (our favourite).
- Nirwana Golf Club: For the golf lovers of all levels, Nirwana Golf Club is a must. Challenge your friends to a golf game, while you can also enjoy the picturesque view.
Getting around:
We can provide a 14seater Hiace mini bus with driver for $85 USD = 1.200.000 IDR for 8 hours or $55 US = 800.000 IDR for 5 hours. Alternatively, the staff can help rent a motorbike. Prices range from $5.5 USD = 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to $18 US = 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.

This location's awesome if you're after a chill spot in Bali. We loved the architecture and space. Spent heaps of time on the rooftop area upstairs, watching the sunset up there with cocktails was the best. We also ordered a dinner in the villa, and have to say, the chef and staff nailed it. Getting to Canggu for partying was pretty easy. We rented motorbikes, but Gocek's cheap and easy too. We particularly loved La Brisa Beach Club at Echo, which is only about 10-15 minutes by bike. Next time we're in Bali, this villa's definitely top of our list!

It is quite difficult to find big villas in Bali especially near Canggu or Seminyak and we were very happy we found this one. We wanted to renew our vows with my wife, so we did an intimate event with 20 friends, which turned out to be very nice. The staff did an amazing job and were very professional. The setting of the villa and the large grass area definitely helped. After the event, we hoped on some taxis and went to party at Atlas until the morning. We did do some day trips to Ubud and Uluwatu with Bali Comfy Trips - Lusda, the driver is highly recommended! If I could, I would repeat this trip all over again!

Truly peaceful property. Property is also huge. We were 3 families and had the most fantastic time. Kids would play for hours in the garden and pool. Proximity to the beach definitely a plus. The staff was super friendly and very professional. Also, there is so much space, and everybody had the privacy needed when they felt like it. We stayed at the private villa. I personally loved the view from the balcony upstairs. My favourite time of day was sunrise when I could enjoy my morning coffee on the balcony, stare at the rice fields and beach, and wait for the little ones to wake up.

The property is absolutely breathtaking with multiple facilities. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Great place to relax. We did practice yoga in the grass area almost daily. Also ordered in-house massages which we loved. The main pool area is a great place to relax. The pool of the main villa is more private if you want to isolate yourself from the group. A very big thank you to Anna and Bali Comfy Villas team!
