Τhe Villa

In family we trust but we also value our privacy - this villa lets us have both, with an extra splash of glamour to spice things up!

An ultra-family friendly villa that is spacious enough to host the biggest family – think 7 bedrooms – and to guarantee some amazing family moments for the whole gang. What is there not to love about the karaoke room with its flat screen TV, DVD and sound system and with the possibility of endless karaoke nights? But we couldn’t leave the adults out: the sunken pool bar and sun loungers by the pool are too inviting to miss. Our in-house chef will happily prepare an amazing family barbecue for you to enjoy by the dining area overlooking the pool. And as if this wasn’t enough, the villa also has an entertainment room with private bar, home cinema and sound system so that the adults can have some fun too.

Kids of all ages will love villa Tara for its well thought out layout and its family offerings. This includes a 12m x 4m private pool, a sunken pool bar, sun loungers and entertainment room for older kids and a karaoke room with flat screen TV, DVD and sound system also used as a 2nd living room or family room for younger kids.

The villa also has a 12pax dining area, living room and fully equipped kitchen for guest use only (there is a second kitchen for the staff) all overlooking the pool area. With the help of the friendly chef, you are in for some serious family fun while preparing your oh-so-yummy Indonesian dinner or Western barbecue – you choose!

The younger kids can choose between playing around the pool or challenging themselves to a karaoke competition, while the older kids can order an in-house massage on the sun loungers or enjoy their evening mojito in their very own sunken pool bar.

And while the night is still young, why not enjoy a pampering bath in one of the stone bathtubs? These rooms even have private living room and dressing space. In terms of space we really cannot complain, as the villa has 7 bedrooms in total, 5 doubles for the couples and 2 twins for the kids. AC, deposit box, dressing room, en-suite bathrooms with shower in all seven bedroom suites go without saying. And if you still need some more space, we can happily add up to 3 extra single beds to fit all family needs.

*The villa can fit up to 17 people, for more than 14 people, we can add an extra bed per person per room.

*If you need 5 or 6 bedrooms, this is also possible at a cheaper price. We will just lock the 1 or 2 extra bedrooms and the villa will remain private only for you.

The neighbourhood:

Berawa is your oyster but that is only if you can bring yourself to consider stepping out of your newly found paradise. Walk to Nude with its friendly smiles and half raw food that does great poke bowls, cocktails and smoothies. Sip your coffee at Cinta café and select a table at the back to enjoy the view over the ricefields. Just next door, Dua Tiga knows how to do brunch, lunch and dinner and has extensive meal options to please even the most demanding customers, from the pure vegans to the full on carnivores. Do try the protein smoothie bowls with a strong coffee for breakfast.

Step into Hungry Bird and you are in for a bargain, the best latte in Berawa with some oh-so-yummy pancakes that won’t hurt your pocket. For the French lovers, Coffee ‘n Oven is your ‘croissanterie a la Balinese’, a gourmet bakery/coffee place that also has decent breakfast options. And of course we couldn’t forget the yummy Eggs Benedict, smoothie bowls and peanut butter biscuits that come with your coffee at Satu Satu.

Now when it comes to lunch and dinner, we will be sure not to leave with an empty stomach. The choice just within the boundaries of Berawa is endless, from pure vegan options such as Peloton Supershop – highly recommended even to non-vegan clients – to sushi places such as Ink in Tamora Gallery, Koi and the more pricey Indigo to yummy Italian pizzerias including La Baracca and Milk and Madu just to name a few! Milu by Nook is also a must for its chill environment, rice field view or simply irresistible food. Do try the spicy tuna poke bowl or ‘ Milu’s Salad’.

If you can summon the strength and it doesn’t break your heart to step out of Berawa, Batubolong (no worries you are still in Canggu) has some great food as well. Do try the real Javanese food at Warung Dandelion and you will be enchanted not only by its food but also by its setting which takes you to the heart of Java. New comer Penny Lane says it all with its jaw dropping surroundings and delish tapas and cocktails. And of course do pay a visit to the legendary Betelnut – one of the first restaurants to open in Canggu – with its Betelnut salad still in our top three salad options.

Canggu and especially Berawa is popular with families and there is a good reason for this. The Peruvian La Casita promises a different sort of playground with a market area where kids can buy their fresh food and vegetables as well as a pirate ship with sand. Tamora Gallery, a shopping and foodie paradise for adults, has also an interesting proposition for children. The ultra-high wooden castle, mini skate ramp and multiple level grass area are a favourite for kids. For some serious fun do try the water slides at Finns Recreation Club, the trampoline area (we are talking thousands of trampolines aligned one after the other) and the bowling space. But get ready to pay a generous price. Just off Berawa but still in Canggu, Parklife is worth a visit. The kids will go crazy at this place as it has everything they could dream of, from an inflatable castle to a playground to movies even to costumes to dress up in. It also offers some decent food and some chilled beers so adults can enjoy it too.

Getting around:

Best way to get around Canggu is by bike. Motorbike rental per day is approximately 60.000 IDR (€3.5 or $4.5 USD), and no licence is needed.

If you are a family or big group of friends, you might prefer to rent a car. Car rental per day is approximately 200.000 – 300.000 IDR (€12 -€18 or $15 – $22 USD). To rent a car you need to have an international valid licence.

Just let us know and we can arrange for both motorbike and/or car rental.

The property was well located, next to cafes in Berawa and very close to the beach. The property itself presented well and was very comfortable. Service was professional. Highly recommend!

There's a long list of things we liked about Tara villa, but what made our stay incredible was the overall hospitality and great service we received. The staff were always there, always with a smile and everything we asked was prepared in minutes. Merry was so great as well! Breakfast very tasty and of course how can we not mention the entertainment room downstairs? We simple couldn’t get enough of this villa!

This villa was a dream. We were desperate to find a big villa in Canggu and were about to give up when we stumbled upon Bali Comfy Villa. This villa has a very special feel to it as it combines modern with traditional Balinese. The villa itself is modern with great amenities and so much space but the decor and smiles of the staff reminds you of Bali. We were a big group but found space to both do things altogether but also take some time to ourselves when needed. It was a great peaceful stay and only metres from the restaurants and cafes of Berawa. The beach was also less than a km away. Anna, Meigi, Merry and everybody else a very big thank you!
