All it takes for a dream vacation is a bunch of loved ones, some luxury, some comfort and the right destination!

For mums and dads in Canggu, it does not get better than Sally 7bed villa complex. A private home cinema room with even a piano that’s ideal for your little ones, plenty of pool space – we are talking a 17m private pool plus a second pool – for kids to splash around in and massage beds in both villas for older kids to enjoy a massage or two. For friends, this is the perfect base to explore Berawa’s vibrant nightlife. Start your afternoon with some cocktails in the oh-so-white living room of the Imperial House with rice field and pool views, continue with a fancy dinner organized by the one and only chef of the villa and then go on a beach club and bar hopping expedition until the early morning hours.

This villa complex definitely does not fall short of your high expectations! Consisting of a 4bed villa – also called Imperial House – and a 3bed villa both in the same complex, a stay here means you can experience Canggu life to its absolute fullest. 5-star service, mouthwatering breakfasts, a butler service and any extra service you can think of is the minimum you can expect to get if you stay in this complex of villas. And when you are ready to leave the villas, Berawa is just around the corner so you can discover what all this buzz is about.

The Imperial House (4bed villa) features a 17m pool with rice field views, sun loungers and pool deck area surrounded by a tropical garden. Next to it, lies a spacious living room with a 10 pax dining area and a fully equipped modern kitchen for guests to use (while there is another one for staff to use). To spice things up, there is a massage set up with two massage beds facing the rice paddies and a private home cinema upstairs. The bedroom suites are extremely spacious, while the two master suites downstairs scream perfection with a private lounge space, walk in closets and open-air bathtubs with private gardens.

Following the theme of the Imperial House, the 3bed villa also has all Western amenities you can think of including a modern fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine, living room with a smart, flat screen TV with Netflix, a dining area and a private pool. Of course, there is also a massage bed for in-house massages. All bedroom suites have en-suite luxury bathrooms with the bathroom of the master bedroom suite also featuring a bathtub.

The neighbourhood:

Berawa beach is on your doorstep – literally a 2minute bike ride. Rent an umbrella, order a coconut and suntan on the beach all day. If you are looking for a bit of glamour, Finns Beach Club, just 3 metres from the beach, is your answer. Start your day with a coffee by the pool and end it with one too many mojitos at the buzzing swim-up bar. Do not forget to visit Atlas Beach Fest, which opened its doors in the summer of 2022. It prides itself as the biggest beach club in the world and the biggest nightclub in Bali.

For breakfast or brunch Ruko café – also walking distance from the villa – is a must-try. Hungry Bird is said to have the best latte in town and brunches that won’t hurt your pocket. Other breakfast options include Satu Satu – do order the Eggs Benedict – Cinta café and 7Islands. All these places have a lot of Western dishes, fresh fruit and Indonesian options for breakfast. Coffee ‘n Oven is more of a gourmet bakery/coffee place but still has decent breakfast options.

Once your stomach starts rumbling, try Milu by Nook with its Western/Indo fusion cuisine. If you like raw fish, do order the spicy tuna poke bowl and enjoy the view of the ricefields. For our vegetarian and vegan friends, Peloton Supershop is definitely worth a visit. Top selections include the Creamy Cheesy Lasagne with cashew cheeseor the ‘Power House Salad’ if you are up for something healthier. Warung Heboh offers a cheap and tasty Indonesian style buffet, perfect for a value for money lunch.

Dinner options in Berawa are endless, it just depends on what you are craving. For pizzas to die for, try Milk and Madu and La Baracca. Nude with its friendly smile and half raw food does great poke bowls, cocktails and smoothies. For top notch sushi go to the new Sushimi or the more expensive Indigo.

If you can summon the strength and it doesn’t break your heart to step out of Berawa, Batubolong (no worries you are still in Canggu) has some great food as well. Do try the real Javanese food at Casa Tua Canggu and you will be enchanted not only by its food but also by its setting which takes you to the heart of Java. Penny Lane says it all with its jaw dropping surroundings and delish tapas and cocktails. And of course do pay a visit to the vegetarian Shady Shack with its salads to die for.

For families, do not miss out on Finns Recreation Club – this place truly has it all, from a water park (Splash), to a bowling centre to an outside restaurant and a kids’ club. We also strongly recommend the huge playground at Made’s Warung which is open from breakfast to dinner. Not to forget, Tamora Gallery with its trendy playground and mini skate ramp is also a shopping and foodie paradise for adults.

Getting around:

We can provide a 14seater Hiace mini bus with driver for $85 USD = 1.200.000 IDR for 8 hours or $55 US = 800.000 IDR for 5 hours. Alternatively, the staff can help rent a motorbike. Prices range from $5.5 USD = 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to $18 US = 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.

Can’t wait to visit this place again! The place was amazing; a huge pool with comfy sun loungers, lovely clean, spacious rooms with great views. We traveled with a big group and had the best time. Also, Berawa is a good location with plenty of bars, restaurants and beach clubs. We could easily walk everywhere in a short time.

Had a perfect stay in this beautiful, luxury complex! There was plenty of space for our large group and it had all the right amenities. We loved relaxing in the evening in the home cinema room with Netflix. We also used Bali Comfy Trips for some sight sighting in Ubud and would definitely recommend it. Lusda the driver was amazing!

This place is so beautiful – two great private villas. The 4bed one was the real gem though with an ultra large private pool with ricefield views. This is where we spent most of our time. For a little extra cost, we had a floating breakfast one morning, which was a great experience. The staff were always helpful and provided everything we needed. The rooms were luxurious, very clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend these two villas for a large group and a perfect stay in Bali!

  • Seminyak

    thumb

Seminyak is the queen of our hearts. A chic tropical version of Paris.

You have not been to Seminyak if you have not strolled around its boutiques, gone to Petitenget for a coffee, had a real Balinese dinner at Made’s Warung, watched the sunset from Potato Head and ended up at a night club for one too many drinks.

  • Canggu

    thumb

Canggu takes a more laid back approach to life. Hipster is the word here.

Take your morning latte with coconut milk at one of the many organic cafes and go for a late lunch at Betelnut (one of the first restaurants to open here). If you don’t have a sunset photo by Batu Bolong beach and did not end up for a late beer at Old Man’s, you have not really been to Canggu.
