Neighbourhood – Pemuteran Beach Area
Joglo by the Beach, our Beachfront 8 Bedroom Villa, is located on Bali’s peaceful north-west coast, in the laid-back village of Pemuteran. This area is known for its calm seas, uncrowded beaches, and beautiful natural surroundings – a world away from the busy south of the island. With direct access to a private beach, guests can enjoy tranquil mornings by the sea, gentle swims, and sunsets right at their doorstep.
Pemuteran has a relaxed village atmosphere, dotted with small local warungs, boutique resorts, and dive centres. Traffic is minimal, the pace of life is slow, and nature takes centre stage – making it an ideal destination for guests looking to truly unwind while still enjoying some of Bali’s best marine experiences.

- Private beach & snorkelling: Step straight from the villa onto the beach and into calm waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Pemuteran Bay is sheltered and known for its coral reefs just offshore, making it perfect for relaxed ocean time without crowds.
- Menjangan Island: Often considered one of Bali’s top snorkeling and diving destinations, Menjangan Island is part of West Bali National Park and can be reached by a short boat trip. Expect crystal-clear water, vibrant coral walls, and abundant marine life.
- BioRock coral restoration project: Pemuteran is internationally recognised for its community-led coral restoration program. Snorkel above the BioRock structures and witness living proof of sustainable reef conservation in action.
- West Bali National Park: Explore Bali’s wild side with trekking, birdwatching, and nature experiences in the island’s only national park – home to diverse landscapes, forests, and coastal ecosystems.
- Pura Pulaki (Pulaki Temple): One of North Bali’s most important sea temples, set dramatically between the mountains and the ocean. A great cultural stop, especially in the late afternoon when the light softens.
- Local dining in Pemuteran: Enjoy casual beachfront cafés and traditional warungs serving fresh seafood and Indonesian classics – perfect for laid-back lunches and sunset dinners by the sea.
- Sunset walks along the coast: Pemuteran sunsets are quiet and spectacular. Stroll along the beach with a coconut or cold Bintang in hand and watch the sky turn gold, orange, and pink over the calm waters.

I stayed here with family and really enjoyed our time. The villa is very peaceful and right by the beach, which makes the stay feel special. I come from Thailand, which also has beautiful islands, but this place felt like a completely different world to me. It is a hidden gem. We spent our days relaxing by the pool and walking along the beach. This is a place I would love to come back to again and thank you Bali Comfy Villas team for recommending this villa to me!
The drive to the villa was long and we were quite tired when we arrived, not really knowing what to expect. But the moment we stepped in, we were blown away. The villa is even more beautiful than the photos, with stunning beach views and direct access to a private beach. Being surrounded by nature instantly made us relax. We loved moving between the pool and the beach and gathering together in the open dining area every day. It truly felt like our own private beach retreat, and we're very glad we chose this place.
We came here as a family retreat and honestly couldn't have chosen a better place! We loved the Joglo layout the most, with private villas spread across a spacious garden, giving everyone their own space while still feeling connected. The views are breathtaking, with mountains behind us and the ocean right in front. The area is very calm and far from the crowds, which made it feel like a true getaway. We would absolutely come back.
