Τhe Villa

Fancy just rolling out of your beautiful, serene retreat and strolling down to the glorious beach at Berawa? This, my friend, is your villa.

At just 280 metres from the beach, this really is that rare and precious find – a true beach villa. Ideally located for sun, surf, for beachside bars and restaurants, and for the buzz of Finns Beach Club, this villa is your calm oasis at the heart of Berawa beach. Spend your days on beautiful sandy beaches, and your nights living it up in some of the coolest bars around. Relax – you’ve found your perfect holiday.

If you want an ideal location for spending lazy days at the beach, this is it. Enjoy your breakfast served to you by the pool before taking the short walk to the beach. On your return, make full use of the open air shower, grab a cocktail, and settle down and watch a DVD or shoot some pool before hitting the town for dinner.

But that’s not all – our 3bed villa also offers you lots of reasons to spend the day at home.  For a change from the beach, why not have a pool day by your private pool? You can even treat yourself to a massage without leaving the house.

And don’t worry about getting a good night’s sleep – this villa’s three bedrooms offer some of the comfiest beds we’ve tried. Each one can be configured as a double or a twin depending on your needs, and all come fully equipped with AC, of course.

*The villa can fit up to 9 people – for more than 6 people, we can add an extra bed per person per room.

*If you only need 2 bedrooms, this is also possible at a cheaper price. We will just lock the one extra bedroom and the villa will remain private only for you.

The neighbourhood:

Start your day with the best coffee in town at Hungry Bird and head straight off to Berawa beach to enjoy some well-deserved vitamin Sea. If you prefer something less fancy than Finns Beach Club, try one of the many ‘warungs’ (local beach bars) with sunbeds on the beach. Order a coconut and you’re all set for the day.

Other breakfast options include Satu Satu – do order the Eggs Benedict, it won’t hurt your pocket – Cinta café, Coffee ‘n Oven and Ruko café. All these places have a lot of Western dishes, fresh fruit and Indonesian options for breakfast. Coffee ‘n Oven is more of a gourmet bakery/coffee place but still has decent breakfast options.

Once your stomach starts rumbling, try Milu by Nook with its Western/Indo fusion cuisine. If you like raw fish, do order the spicy tuna poke bowl and enjoy the view of the ricefields. For our vegetarian and vegan friends, Peloton Supershop is definitely worth a visit. Top selections include the Creamy Cheesy Lasagne with cashew cheese or the ‘Power House Salad’ if you are up for something healthier.

Dinner options in Berawa are endless, depends on what you are craving. For pizzas to die for, try Milk and Madu and La Baracca. Nude with its friendly smile and half raw food does great poke bowls, cocktails and smoothies. For top notch sushi go to Koi or the more expensive Indigo and Ink in Tamora Gallery.

If  you can summon the strength and it doesn’t break your heart to step out of Berawa, Batubolong (no worries you are still in Canggu) has some great food as well. Do try the real Javanese food at Warung Dandelion and you will be enchanted not only by its food but also by its setting which takes you to the heart of Java. New comer Penny Lane says it all with its jaw dropping surroundings and delish tapas and cocktails. And of course do pay a visit to the legendary Betelnut – one of the first restaurants to open in Canggu – with its Betelnut salad still in our top three salad options.

For families, do not miss out on Finns Recreation Club – this place truly has it all, from a water park (Splash), to a bowling centre to an outside restaurant and a kids’ club. We also strongly recommend the huge playground at Made’s Warung which is open from breakfast to dinner. On a Friday, your little offspring can watch a kids’ movie for free. Not to forget, Tamora Gallery with its trendy playground and mini skate ramp is also a shopping and foodie paradise for adults.

Getting around:

Best way to get around Canggu is by bike. Motorbike rental per day is approximately 60.000 IDR (€3.5 or $4.5 USD), and no licence is needed.

If you are a family or big group of friends, you might prefer to rent a car. Car rental per day is approximately 200.000 – 300.000 IDR (€12 -€18 or $15 – $22 USD). To rent a car you need to have an international valid licence.

Just let us know and we can arrange for both motorbike and/or car rental.
