Jungle Zen Wellness Retreat in Ubud

Villa Bayad is a spacious four-bedroom private estate set across 8,000 sqm of tropical grounds. Swim in two private pools. Stay active in the air-conditioned gym. Unwind with dedicated yoga, meditation, and spa spaces. A team of 12 staff is on hand throughout your stay.

Designed by renowned architect Popo Danes, the estate follows the layout of a traditional Balinese compound. It features two living areas, two dining areas, two fully equipped kitchens, an air-conditioned media room, and four private bedroom pavilions. Surrounded by rice terraces with views of Mount Agung, the villa is just a short drive from central Ubud.

Chlorine-Free Pools

The estate features two spring-water swimming pools designed for relaxation. The main 18 x 5-metre pool uses a natural salt chlorination system instead of traditional chlorine. This creates a gentler swimming experience. An ironwood deck surrounds the pool, complete with sun loungers, umbrellas and a traditional bale positioned over the water.

Two of the guest pavilions share a separate plunge pool with a stone deck and outdoor seating, providing a quieter space away from the main pool. Fresh pool towels are provided daily.

Where Rejuvenation Happens: The Yoga, Spa & Mindfulness Experience

Begin your day with yoga on the Sunrise Bridge overlooking the fishponds and waterfalls. Alternatively, head to the dedicated yoga pavilion tucked away in the Meditation Garden. Yoga mats and meditation cushions are provided, and private instructors can be arranged on request.

The open-air spa courtyard connects two guest pavilions. This features a natural stone bathtub, massage beds and a waterfall-style shower. Professional in-villa spa treatments can be arranged, offering a convenient way to enjoy a massage or wellness therapy without leaving the estate.

For a complete wellness retreat, the villa also includes a well-equipped air-conditioned gym and four complimentary mountain bikes for exploring the surrounding villages and rice terraces. The peaceful gardens, open spaces and natural surroundings create an ideal setting to recharge while staying close to Ubud. Your Private Balinese Pavilion

The four air-conditioned bedroom pavilions provide privacy while remaining close to the shared living spaces. Each has views across the gardens and surrounding rice terraces. Named after Tenganan, Klungkung, Ubud and Singaraja, every pavilion includes a furnished veranda, flat-screen TV, DVD player and premium cotton bedding.

Each bedroom also features an en-suite bathroom with an indoor shower. There’s also a private walled garden with an outdoor rain shower. Two of the guest pavilions share an open-air kitchen and dining pavilion, along with a private spring-water plunge pool, making them well suited for couples or small families travelling together.
