Neighbourhood & Getting around
The neighbourhood:
Finns Recreation Club is on your doorstep, literally less than 1km away. This place truly has it all, from a water park (Splash), to a bowling centre to a huge bounce area to an outside restaurant and a kids’ club.
For the beach lovers, Berawa beach is only a 5-minute bike ride away. Rent an umbrella, order a coconut and suntan on the beach all day. If you are looking for a bit of glamour, Finns Beach Club and the newly opened Atlas Beach Fest, just 3 metres from the beach, is your answer. Start your day with a coffee by the pool and end it with one too many mojitos at the buzzing swim-up bars.
For breakfast or brunch Ruko café is a must-try. Do order the avocado breakfast at Nude, also in Berawa. Hungry Bird is said to have the best latte in town and brunches that won’t hurt your pocket.
Do not forget to visit Tamora Square with its one of a kind playground and mini skate ramp. Hova is perfect for mums and dads, a convenient and value for money all day diner next to the playground. Shmurger‘s burgers, roasted chicken and fries are a much try. Once a week at Tamora, there is free acoustic music and sometimes they have kids’ movies in the upstairs grass area of the playground.
If you are a family, we strongly recommend the huge playground at Made’s Warung which is open from breakfast to dinner. Let’s not forget the old time classic Milk and Madu that also has a playground for kids. Do not go for brunch on a Sunday as it gets way too busy, instead try it on a week day. There are some interesting offers depending on the day of the week from 2 for 1 pizzas, to sunset discounted prices from 3-6 and 9pm to pasta club on any Friday from 5pm.
Warung Heboh and Warung Maaaaak offer cheap and tasty Indonesian style buffets, perfect for a value for money lunch. Milu by Nook has the best poke bowls and salads with a glorious view over the ricefields. And for our vegan friends, do try Peloton’s ‘Tour de Bali’ or ‘Rouleur Wrap’ dishes. Industrial Dua Tiga has everything from yummy breakfast options with interesting names such as ‘Peas Love Peace’ t0 Indonesian favourite Beef Rendang.
For sushi that won’t hurt your pocket, try Sushimi with its conveyor belt sushi. Other options include the more expensive Indigo and newly opened Miss Fish which as well as its sushi is also known for its one of a kind cocktails and parties until the early hours. And while we are on fancy dining, colonial style Kong serves contemporary bistro chic-style dishes, fine wines and impeccable cocktails.
Getting around:
We can provide a 14seater Hiace mini bus with driver for $85 USD = 1.200.000 IDR for 8 hours or $55 US = 800.000 IDR for 5 hours. Alternatively, the staff can help rent a motorbike. Prices range from $5.5 USD = 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to $18 US = 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.
