Τhe Villa

Grab all your friends, pack a swimsuit, and get the next flight over – we’ve found you a villa by the beach where you can kick back and have some fun.

This villa is big enough for all your friends to gather together, but it gives you space to have some quiet time too. Made up of two interconnected 3bed villas, this peaceful retreat offers you lots of room, with 2 of everything, including 2 pools. Get together for a pool party – or let the others hit the cocktails while you curl up in the second villa with a DVD. If you like, we can even arrange a chef to prepare you a meal. Either way, you win.

This spacious villa has everything you need for a fun and relaxing get together. Each villa not only has its own pool, living area, dining area and kitchenette, it also has all the ingredients for a good time – pool tables, bikes to explore Berawa, satellite TV, and staff to prepare your breakfast.

And when you want to get out and about, the beach is just a couple of hundred metres away. You’re also within easy distance of Berawa’s bar, café and restaurant scene, as well as the party central that is Finn’s Beach Club.

When it comes to bedrooms, there’s plenty of choice and no short straw to be drawn! The six spacious bedrooms can all be set up as you please, either as a double or twin bed arrangement. All the bedrooms are very similar except the slightly larger master suite, so no-one will be complaining, and all of them have all the home comforts you want, from air conditioning to a separate dressing area. As for the bathroom facilities – have you ever had an open air shower? You’re about to find out just how luxurious that can feel.

*The villa can fit up to 18 people – for more than 12 people, we can add an extra bed per person per room.

The neighbourhood:

Start your day with the best coffee in town at Hungry Bird and head straight off to Berawa beach to enjoy some well-deserved vitamin Sea. If you prefer something less fancy than Finns Beach Club, try one of the many ‘warungs’ (local beach bars) with sunbeds on the beach. Order a coconut and you’re all set for the day.

Other breakfast options include Satu Satu – do order the Eggs Benedict, it won’t hurt your pocket – Cinta café, Coffee ‘n Oven and Ruko café. All these places have a lot of Western dishes, fresh fruit and Indonesian options for breakfast. Coffee ‘n Oven is more of a gourmet bakery/coffee place but still has decent breakfast options.

Once your stomach starts rumbling, try Milu by Nook with its Western/Indo fusion cuisine. If you like raw fish, do order the spicy tuna poke bowl and enjoy the view of the ricefields. For our vegetarian and vegan friends, Peloton Supershop is definitely worth a visit. Top selections include the Creamy Cheesy Lasagne with cashew cheese or the ‘Power House Salad’ if you are up for something healthier.

Dinner options in Berawa are endless, depends on what you are craving. For pizzas to die for, try Milk and Madu and La Baracca. Nude with its friendly smile and half raw food does great poke bowls, cocktails and smoothies. For top notch sushi go to Koi or the more expensive Indigo and Ink in Tamora Gallery.

If  you can summon the strength and it doesn’t break your heart to step out of Berawa, Batubolong (no worries you are still in Canggu) has some great food as well. Do try the real Javanese food at Warung Dandelion and you will be enchanted not only by its food but also by its setting which takes you to the heart of Java. New comer Penny Lane says it all with its jaw dropping surroundings and delish tapas and cocktails. And of course do pay a visit to the legendary Betelnut – one of the first restaurants to open in Canggu – with its Betelnut salad still in our top three salad options.

For families, do not miss out on Finns Recreation Club – this place truly has it all, from a water park (Splash), to a bowling centre to an outside restaurant and a kids’ club. We also strongly recommend the huge playground at Made’s Warung which is open from breakfast to dinner. On a Friday, your little offspring can watch a kids’ movie for free. Not to forget, Tamora Gallery with its trendy playground and mini skate ramp is also a shopping and foodie paradise for adults.

Getting around:

Best way to get around Canggu is by bike. Motorbike rental per day is approximately 60.000 IDR (€3.5 or $4.5 USD), and no licence is needed.

If you are a family or big group of friends, you might prefer to rent a car. Car rental per day is approximately 200.000 – 300.000 IDR (€12 -€18 or $15 – $22 USD). To rent a car you need to have an international valid licence.

Just let us know and we can arrange for both motorbike and/or car rental.

Anna was so understanding and caring with my concerns about COVID travel. She ensured me the villas would be properly cleaned and the staff would always wear masks. In fact, once I arrived I could see that everything was very clean. She also ensured me that if anything happened and borders were closed there will be a full refund given to us. At the end we had to change our dates but finally made it to the villas. Very nice place, clean, spacious and in a good location. The staff was always there with a smile and nothing was too big for them to do. It was so lovely and relaxing to stay there for a short staycation especially during these stressful times.

Location is very good. The villas are situated in the centre of Berawa, a short walk to the beach. Breakfast selection and quality very good. The staff were attentive to our needs. Chilling by the pool was our favorite past time. Massages at the villa a daily habit. Ah already miss this place!

Great place to spend time with friends for a holiday getaway. We would hang out around the pool tables and play some billiards. Bintangs by the pools also seemed like a good idea. The restaurants and bars were in walking distance and so was the beach.
