Τhe Villa

Soak up the sun in the pool area next to the sunbeds. Take your morning latte while sitting by the pool. Enjoy your eggs benedict on the outdoor ‘Bale’ (Balinese outdoor pavilion) overlooking the garden. Order an in-home massage over at the massage beds upstairs. Call it a beach day and stay at the beach all day. Return to the villa to take a much-needed pampering bath. Order dinner in and open a chilled Chardonnay just at the right time. And then head off to town to discover what Canggu has to offer.

The communal areas:

Cabana 8bed villa complex comprises of two spacious 4bed ultra-modern villas next to each other. This is the perfect choice for a large group that does not want to compromise on style and location. The villas themselves offer generous communal areas. There is an 8pax dining room with a comfy living area next to a Western style kitchen. There is also a Balinese garden that surrounds the pool area. And of course, an outdoor ‘Bale’ (Balinese outdoor pavilion), perfect for a candle lit dinner. And all that multiplied by two.Not to forget to mention the upstairs mini spa of each villa with its two massage beds overlooking the pool.

The breakfast is to die for:

The breakfast is to die for. Definitely not the usual breakfast you would expect to find in a villa. You can choose between eggs benedict, ham and cheese crepe, veggie omelette, nasi goreng, bacon / egg / onion / mushroom bruschetta, banana pancake or fruit salad and of course coffee or tea. Did your belly start rumbling?

The bedroom suites:

Each of the villas has two double master suites downstairs overlooking the pool. There are also two upstairs double bedrooms which are equally spacious and comfy. All bedrooms have luxury en-suite bathrooms with bathtub and shower. Last but not least, there is a fifth guest bathroom and a second living area in the middle of the two bedrooms downstairs.

The neighbourhood:

Finns Recreation Club is on your doorstep, literally 100 metres away. This place truly has it all, from a water park (Splash), to a bowling centre to an outside restaurant and a kids’ club.

For the beach lovers, Berawa beach is only a 5-minute bike ride away. Rent an umbrella, order a coconut and suntan on the beach all day. If you are looking for a bit of glamour, Finns Beach Club, just 3 metres from the beach, is your answer. Start your day with a coffee by the pool and end it with one too many mojitos at the buzzing swim-up bar.

For breakfast or brunch Ruko café – also walking distance from the villa – is a must-try. Do order a granola fruit bowl at Bali Bowls next door. Hungry Bird is said to have the best latte in town and brunches that won’t hurt your pocket.

Do not forget to visit the brand new Tamora Square with its one of a kind playground and mini skate ramp. We personally love Missibu’s manual brew coffee and smoothie bowl for brunch. Ink’s sushi rolls, sticky karaage chicken and Ooey-Gooey pork belly are to die for. If you go on a Saturday afternoon there is free acoustic music and sometimes they have kids’ movies at the upstairs grass area.

If you are a family, we also strongly recommend the huge playground at the Joglo which is open from breakfast to dinner. On a Friday, your little offspring can watch a kids’ movie for free. La Casita’s playground is also interesting. Your kids can buy and sell vegetables at the market or take a slide down from the tree house.

Warung Heboh offers a cheap and tasty Indonesian style buffet, perfect for a value for money lunch. Balifornia chicken rolls are also ideal for a quick lunch. And for our vegan friends, do try Peloton’s ‘Tour de Bali’ or ‘Rouleur Wrap’ dishes.

Berawa Kitchen with its many food stands and huge garden is an interesting option for dinner. Sometimes this place also has live concerts. If you love skateboarding, go to Konkrete and order a charcoal beef burger while looking in awe at the skaters throwing tricks at the skate bowl just in front. Do try the mouthwatering ice cream at the Creamery which is made in front of you with liquid nitrogen!

Getting around:

Best way to get around Canggu is by bike. Motorbike rental per day is approximately 60.000 IDR (€3.5 or $4.5 USD), and no licence is needed.

If you are a family or big group of friends, you might prefer to rent a car. Car rental per day is approximately 200.000 – 300.000 IDR (€12 -€18 or $15 – $22 USD). To rent a car you need to have an international valid licence.

Just let us know and we can arrange for both motorbike and/or car rental.

The design is modern and beautiful! The swimming pools are clean and good in size. The rooms are always cold and have a nice smell. The staff are nice and very accommodating. The Indonesian breakfast tastes great. Everything is thought carefully to please the guests.

A peaceful stay in the middle of Berawa. Free bikes were great to go explore the rice fields. Villas were super comfy and spacious for our big groups. Sunset drinks before going out a MUST! Do order the in-house dinner, it is quite good and a great way to spend your last day especially for a big group and especially now due to COVID that you want to go out but cannot party like before.

It was one of the best experiences we had. Words cannot describe how amazing it was. We did not want to leave the villas and go explore Bali. Excellent service / staff / food.

Loved how kid friendly these villas are. Staff is definitely contributing to that and so is location. If you need anything you can just cross the road and shop at Canggu Deli. There is a Starbuck also in the next 100 metres as well as restaurants and a Spa. Beach is only 2 minutes away. Though most time we stayed at the villas. The kids loved the two pools and running around in the gardens and we loved sunbathing and ordering massages in the villa.

The perfect villas for kids and adults alike. For 10 adults and 6 kids traveling in a group, the staff were incredible! The villa manager was checking on us to see if everything was OK. Highlights of our stay: the free bikes (grab them early as there are only two), the breakfast, the two large pools and the smiles of the staff. Will definitely return!
