If you are looking for affordable luxury to spend a romantic vacation in Bali then search no further!

Get to experience what it is like to live in a Joglo style, Javanese wooden bungalow. We are not joking when we say that this is as Indonesian as it gets! The Javanese distinct décor of the bungalow is there to complete the picture and transport you to the heart of Java. You will not be missing any luxury. The bungalow shares with other three bungalows, an ultra large 12m pool and a basic gym. Service here is also excellent with daily staff, two villa managers, security at night and a lot of extras such as in-house massages, breakfast, day trips, activities (the extras come at an extra cost). And the best part? It is only 450m away from Berawa beach and the fancy beach clubs – namely Atlas and Finns – and in close proximity to many gourmet restaurants and trendy coffee shops.

Take your loved one and book this villa to restore your passion in a spacious 120m2 Javanese wooden bungalow. The bungalow features a large outdoor veranda with seating space. Inside, you will find a super comfortable, king size canopy bed, private lounge space and dining area. There is also a pantry with a mini fridge and water kettle, while the bedroom comes with AC, satellite TV with 60 local & international channels, a dressing space and deposit box. Next to the bedroom is an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower.

You will also get a 12m pool shared with three other bungalows to maximise your suntanning sessions. And in case you feel like exercising, there is a basic gym. Walk out of your newly found paradise and you will reach the beach straight away (only 450m away). You can choose to spend your day at the beach warungs with a coconut or two or head over to the fancy beach clubs – Finns or Atlas. And as for food and shopping, you are in the heart of a foodie and shopping paradise with endless options for all pockets and tastes.

The neighbourhood:

Berawa beach is on your doorstep – literally a 10 minute walk away. Rent an umbrella, order a coconut and suntan on the beach all day. If you are looking for a bit of glamour, Finns Beach Club, just 3 metres from the beach, is your answer. Start your day with a coffee by the pool and end it with one too many mojitos at the buzzing swim-up bar. Do not forget to visit Atlas Beach Fest, which opened its doors in the summer of 2022. It prides itself as the biggest beach club in the world and the biggest nightclub in Bali.

For breakfast or brunch Ruko café – also walking distance from the villa – is a must-try. Hungry Bird is said to have the best latte in town and brunches that won’t hurt your pocket. Other breakfast options include Satu Satu – do order the Eggs Benedict – Cinta café and 7Islands. All these places have a lot of Western dishes, fresh fruit and Indonesian options for breakfast. Coffee ‘n Oven is more of a gourmet bakery/coffee place but still has decent breakfast options.

Once your stomach starts rumbling, try Milu by Nook with its Western/Indo fusion cuisine. If you like raw fish, do order the spicy tuna poke bowl and enjoy the view of the ricefields. For our vegetarian and vegan friends, Peloton Supershop is definitely worth a visit. Top selections include the Creamy Cheesy Lasagne with cashew cheeseor the ‘Power House Salad’ if you are up for something healthier. Warung Heboh offers a cheap and tasty Indonesian style buffet, perfect for a value for money lunch.

Dinner options in Berawa are endless, it just depends on what you are craving. For pizzas to die for, try Milk and Madu and La Baracca. Nude with its friendly smile and half raw food does great poke bowls, cocktails and smoothies. For top notch sushi go to the new Sushimi or the more expensive Indigo.

If you can summon the strength and it doesn’t break your heart to step out of Berawa, Batubolong (no worries you are still in Canggu) has some great food as well. Do try the real Javanese food at Casa Tua Canggu and you will be enchanted not only by its food but also by its setting which takes you to the heart of Java. Penny Lane says it all with its jaw dropping surroundings and delish tapas and cocktails. And of course do pay a visit to the vegetarian Shady Shack with its salads to die for.

For families, do not miss out on Finns Recreation Club – this place truly has it all, from a water park (Splash), to a bowling centre to an outside restaurant and a kids’ club. We also strongly recommend the huge playground at Made’s Warung which is open from breakfast to dinner. Not to forget, Tamora Gallery with its trendy playground and mini skate ramp is also a shopping and foodie paradise for adults.

Getting around:

We can provide a 14seater Hiace mini bus with driver for $85 USD = 1.200.000 IDR for 8 hours or $55 US = 800.000 IDR for 5 hours. Alternatively, the staff can help rent a motorbike. Prices range from $5.5 USD = 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to $18 US = 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.

This cozy bungalow was great for my stay. Loved having a gym and bedroom doors that open up to the large pool and tropical garden. The bungalow had everything I needed and was very comfortable. I hope to return again soon one day!

I traveled to Bali solo and this place was perfect for my needs. Really comfy bungalow with a beautiful, big pool. The location was really convenient; I could get to all the trendy restaurants and bars easily by walking. Loved relaxing in the garden too.

I came here with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and we had the best time! Beautiful, romantic bungalow with all the right facilities. Great to have a gym and such a large pool. As a surfer, it was good to be so close to the beach.

  • Seminyak

    thumb

Seminyak is the queen of our hearts. A chic tropical version of Paris.

You have not been to Seminyak if you have not strolled around its boutiques, gone to Petitenget for a coffee, had a real Balinese dinner at Made’s Warung, watched the sunset from Potato Head and ended up at a night club for one too many drinks.

  • Canggu

    thumb

Canggu takes a more laid back approach to life. Hipster is the word here.

Take your morning latte with coconut milk at one of the many organic cafes and go for a late lunch at Betelnut (one of the first restaurants to open here). If you don’t have a sunset photo by Batu Bolong beach and did not end up for a late beer at Old Man’s, you have not really been to Canggu.
